Protein shakes up the wazoo. You can do wonders with a blender, so make sure to mix in some fruit/veggies if possible. Whatever you can do to pack the calories and protein into a delicious shake, do it. However, the weight will come back after the wire comes off and he returns to his natural lifestyle, but this will definitely help the process.
