I’m 5′7″, too, but 155 pounds, and I don’t look that fat at all.

Just how much do you want to lose?

Um. What exactly are you trying to achieve? If you lose more weight, you’ll end up looking like a skeleton in a bikini. Instead, just focus on toning your body instead of losing weight. Do some crunches, situps, bicycles, and pushups. I’m 4 inches shorter than you, and I weigh 120. Abs are already visible on me.

From the height/weight it doesn’t exactly seem as if you really need to lose some weight…

In any case, there are no shortcuts — well, no healthy shortcuts that will actually keep the pounds off. Just stick to a balanced diet, remember to never, ever completely rule out an entire food group — unless for religious or otherwise personal reasons — and just do some good 30 to 45 minute cardiovascular exercises at least three times a week i.e. running etc.

Still, it befuddles me a little bit. If you are already thin enough and only want to tone up — just go to the gym and do a lot of exercises with a lot of reps, and little sets. Contact a physical trainer if you need to learn how to do the exercises safely and to their most productive level.

    Good luck.

You must be thin. I’m 5 foot 7 and I am 135pounds. I have lost weight fairly quickly just by running 45 minutes a day and eating about 1,200 calories. You should eat healthy food such as fruits, lots of vegetables, and drink 80 oz of water a day. Don’t eat a lot of carbs.
