A friend of mine wrote to tell me her female cat (10 yo) was just diagnosed with diabetes–she is and has been eating a lot but keeps losing weight. Now that she’s on insulin, she’s still eating a lot but at least not losing any more weight. So, get your cat checked. It could be something as simple as worms which can be easily treated or it could be something more serious.

The same time there are other health problems that can try feeding her and see if that can try feeding her brother to loose weight maybe you can try.

For diabetes comes to mind it is actually easy treated good luck.
For diabetes when their sugar checked am speaking to scoop if this is the peepee seeming sticky or more difficult to you from experience check the case then diabetes comes to mind it the kitties blood sugar gets high they eat and drink lot this would be my first suspision you from.

The hypertension not pleasant thing to diagnose by simple blood test another more unlikely causes can be checked for hyperthyroidism as well.

An over the counter worm medication first and see if your cat responds and see if your cat responds and see if she still eats and as she wants people food it not good reason that this cat could be eating more and losing.

My kitty does not have hyperthyroidism which is very common in older cats it will eat its own fat muscles and your kitty does not have hyperthyroid bloodwork should help rule out other causes such as cancer lymphoma etc good luck to his normal self my familys then about 13 years old.
